A Case of Stevens-Johnson Syndrome

Abstract
The Stevens-Johnson syndrome is a severe form of erythema multiforme first described by Stevens and Johnson in 1922 reporting two cases of an eruptive fever associated with stomatitis and ocular complications.
Other names of this disease include erythema multiforme exudativum major, dermatostomatitis, mucocutaneous ocular syndrome and ectodermosis-erosiva pluriorificialii
The clinical manifestations of the Stevens-Johnson syndrome were rarely observed in otolaryngologic fields not only in our country, but also in other countries.
The author recently experienced a case of the Stevens-Johnson syndrome in a 24 year old female, who was successfully treated within about two weeks under admission. The author discussed briefly about the clinical manifestation and treatment.
